Here is a quick peek at a watercolor wedding monogram I created for a lovely Kansas City couple, Liz and Cole. They were married just a few weeks ago!
April Around The Web
I hope you all had a lovely April! This month was much anticipated, and full of surprises and spontaneous decisions. Here are a few of my favorite finds around the web this month:
I love seeing some of my favorite bloggers creating cards for Hallmark Signature! Take a peek at Sugar & Cloth's line for Mother's Day
An interesting take on a Fourth of July wedding (I can't stop obsessing over the palm backdrop)
While I definitely don't need another necklace, this one from J.Crew is very tempting.
My husband Dale and I are planning a late anniversary trip to Nashville in the fall, so I don't want to loose track of this city guide from A Beautiful Mess!
Such a dreamy nursery. Nothing better than pale pink, swans, and a paper flower installation.
I have been a longtime fan of Emma Watson, and these quotes are pretty spot on. Especially this:
Personally this month I was able to spend a weekend in Lawrence with my mom and sister while Dale visited his friend in Boston. I love being back in my college town, and even got to stop in the new Wonder Fair location. I also purchased a painting this month from my mentor, Lisa Rogers, show. I can't wait to get it home! This weekend I will be reunited with my girl friends for a Bachelorette Party, which will be the perfect end to the month. I can't wait for more springtime adventures in May!
100 Layer Cake: Classic DIY Kansas City Wedding Feature!
I am SO excited to share that my husband, Dale, and I's wedding photos have been featured on 100 Layer Cake! It was so exciting to see the details of our day take center stage, especially the lettering and design work I created. Take a look!
Thanks for the beautiful feature 100 Layer Cake!
Wedding Party Links
I'm back! #dalliesmith is now official (we were married June 6th!) and I decided to take the rest of the month off from blogging. I am excited to now share my dress, and links to what the wedding party wore. While at times stressful, I had the best time planning our wedding. I hope that the pictures, links, and other details I am able to document on the blog will help me to remember the planning stages and the little things that together helped make our wedding so special. Be on the lookout for much more!
An April Shower
This weekend my sister Sophie and future sister-in-law, Dianne, hosted a beautiful bridal shower for me! Here are a few pictures of the delicious food and amazing flowers by Hitched Planning+Floral.
The decorations were based off of my grandmother's bridal shower. It made the event even more special to think that she celebrated in a similar way when she was about to get married. I couldn't have asked for a more lovely afternoon! I truly have some wonderful family and friends.
Save The Date
I am finally just about to send out Dale and I's Save the Date! We have decided to email these out so that I can make our actual invitations especially special. I love that I was able to combine my lettering with one of our engagement photos (taken by Rusty Wright of Waldron Photograph Co.) The wedding to-do list seems to get longer every day, especially with all of the little details, but I am excited to continue sharing bits and pieces as June 6th approaches!
