January Around The Web

Happy almost February! Per usual, here are a few of my favorites from around the web this past month. I'm happy to see the iridescent trend seems to be here to stay. I loved Aww, Sam's roundup of 10 Iridescent/Holographic Things You Need. Enjoy some other links below!

13:1 Lost in Translation

I recently decided it was time to take some better photos of the letterpress book I created way back when I studied abroad in Italy. This trip was one of my most memorable college experiences, and the opportunity to take a letterpress workshop at the Tipoteca Italiana was definitely a highlight. (I also couldn't resist including the beautiful flowers I picked up at Flowers & Weeds. If you find yourself in St. Louis check out their new space!)

"The use of traveling is to regulate imagination with    reality, and instead of thinking of how things may be,
see them as they are."

–Samuel Johnson

I took this photo when I studied abroad just after my sophomore year of college. I fell in love with Italy that summer (especially the food), but more than that I learned to appreciate time spent traveling. This quote by Samuel Johnson is a thought-provoking way to think about this appreciation, and makes me even more excited for the travels I have ahead of me this year!
