I've never loved orange so this year I decided to round up some Halloween inspiration that was a bit darker than the traditional orange and black. I love the idea of hosting a Halloween dinner party complete with an elaborate table setting — hopefully this gets you excited for this spooky time of year!
July Around The Web
Happy Monday, friends! I'm not quite ready for these long summer days to head into Fall – I have loved all my July adventures. This month began celebrating my friend's wedding in Lawrence, and was followed by a weekend at home in St. Louis and then two lake weekends in a row. The first was spent at Dale's parents home at Lake Winnebago, and last weekend I enjoyed the unseasonable cool weather crafting and boating at Turkey Hill. At work I have been busy executing Mother's Day cards for next year, including lots of designs featuring my hand lettering! This month did not disappoint around the web. I'm dreaming of trying this Rosé and Blood Orange Sgroppino recipe this weekend...
Here are my other favorite finds this month:
Dale and I are planning an Europe trip after he graduates from medical school and I have loved seeing all the beautiful places Julia visited in Southern France!
This month I discovered Emilie Simpson, her illustrations are just lovely
I love purses and bags, and this laptop bag by Lo & Sons is at the top of my wish list.
If only I had a pool, I would love to host an end of summer party inspired by Kelly's Palm Springs trip!
Speaking of parties, Think.Make.Share. shared some creative ideas for hosting a wrapping paper luau
Obviously I have a love for paper flowers and this summer garland is stunning.
I just bought Body Love by Kelly Leveque and I can't wait to get reading!
If anyone has tried True Botanicals Basics line let me know, I would love to try it out.
I just booked at trip to LA in September and have been on the lookout for recommendations.

Another bag on my wish list...

October Around The Web
Hello, friends! Between family obligations, weddings, and work October flew by. So while a bit delayed, here are a few of my favorites this month. First, I am SO excited to share that I am featured in Southern Weddings Magazine Volume 9! While it's official debut isn't until November 10th, the cover has been revealed. I'm thrilled at how the feature I contributed to turned out, and I'm eagerly awaiting being able to share more details!
One of my favorite reads this month, shared by the Intelligent Change Weekly Email
While Halloween has passed, I loved this DIY from Think.Make.Share. I can totally picture a Christmas version (or even Thanksgiving)
I baked my first ever pie this month! This recipe turned out perfectly.
This definitely gave me a few ideas for additions to my own pantry...
Miami looks like the perfect place for a girls trip!
Apple Cider is one of my favorite parts of Fall, and this Spiced Bourbon version looks delicious.
Loved the simplicity and beauty of these invitations.
Until next month, enjoy (and happy November)!
March Around The Web
I hope you all have had a wonderful March! I couldn't think of a better representation of my favorite things on the internet this past month than Libby VanderPloeg's "Lift Each Other Up" illustration for International Women's Day (which was March 8th). I am very proud to work with and have so many talented & driven women friends who inspire me daily. Take a look at Libby's website to see more of her wonderful illustrations!
