December Around The Web

Hello, friends! December is always a whirlwind and this month I was extra grateful to be able to spend so much time with family and friends. We celebrated my mom’s birthday, I went to a gingerbread decorating party, went to several other holiday parties (including one with Dale’s co-workers, an ornament exchange with college friends and the Jingle Ball), and ended the month with all our traditional Christmas festivities. I also love all the holiday inspiration around the web this time of year. While some of these finds will have to be put on hold until next year they are just as lovely!

  • First up, this adorable A-Frame DIY. Definitely on the list to make for next Christmas!

  • Also, these cookies.

  • One of my favorite Christmas presents I received. Our kitty Otto has been extra ornery lately, only fair to warn visitors.

  • Hoping to make this recipe with the pecans I received this season from my mother-in-law.

  • My all-time favorite pants in a new pattern.

  • Already re-labeled all my spices with this handy label maker!

  • Loved this article, Dale and I watch Love Actually every Christmas Eve Eve when we exchange our gifts.

  • Just what I need to head into the new year.

  • Maybe Miami needs to be on my travel wish list for 2019?

  • This recipe is one of my new favorites, easy and healthy.

Happy Holidays!

April Updates!

April has proven to be a really productive month so far! My husband, Dale, just finished his first board exam for medical school and it has given me some extra time (during his studying) to work on some things I just hadn't gotten around to. First on the list: New business cards! You can see my design below, I ordered through moo.com. I ordered business cards from them when I was graduating and loved the quality, so I am excited to see how these turn out. This time around I went with their Green option, so I am extra curious about the paper stock and printing.

I also officially opened my Etsy shop! I have been wanting to create a space to sell some of my favorite Letters Are Lovely prints, and finally settled on Etsy. There is still a lot do do, I only have two pieces listed right now, but I am hoping to get a few more added and then host a giveaway on Instagram!

I have been marking down all of my progress on my 101 in 1001 list I made in January. So far I have checked off around 30 items, though I am a little ahead of myself because sometimes I can't help but mark off exciting events when I get them on my calendar. (**Trip to Italy with my Sister Sophie!) One of my other most exciting upcoming events will be attending Go Blog Social: St. Louis in a few weeks! I'm really excited to meet some other bloggers. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Head on over to my new page called "The Latest" for the link to my Etsy Shop and for a quick way to sign up for my mailing list!

Black & White Kitchen

Having spent some time browsing apartments while in St. Louis, I fell in love with a black and white checkered floor in one of the kitchens.  It has been on my mind ever since and I thought I would do a little searching and find kitchen accessories along the same lines:

Rachel Castle

Sometime last year I came across Castle. Immediately I was enthralled by the bright colors and the eclectic feel. Rachel Castle is an artist living in Sydney, Australia focusing on creating objects for the homeware industry. Recently I have found myself following artists and owners of Etsy shops on Instagram, and Rachel Castle is no exception! Visit her website or Instagram and I'm sure you will fall in love with these bright pieces as well!
