Hello, friends! While spending so much time at home Dale and I have tackled our bathroom mini-renovation sooner than expected. Iβve always known we would need to do some updates in our only bathroom but I had many internal debates about what the best route would be. Should we completely gut the space and start over? Just replace the toilet and sink? We ended up somewhere in the middle: we replaced all fixtures, the toilet and sink but kept and restored the original floors, medicine cabinet and tub.
Taking down some poorly placed built in cabinets and adding tile was the biggest change! Luckily, most of the work we were able to do ourselves and the quick tile job made a huge impact. Our new tub hardware was a splurge but also makes a HUGE difference! Another aspect of the space was mixing metals. We went with chrome hardware and fixtures except in a few instances where we brought in brass to tie in with the rest of our home. Also, we painted the walls with Sherwin-Williams Nearly Peach and got these two Amazon items to make our life with a tub/shower combo so much better: Shower Caddy and Umbra Flex Drain Stop. Have you pushed a home project up during this time? Photos of the final bathroom to come, we are just waiting to have the tub resurfaced and my print from my friend Alyissa to arrive!
