The next stop of our California road trip was Muir Woods! This was actually my third time visiting the area and every time has been equally magical. We were lucky to have a sunny morning to walk through the trees and soak up the beauty. If you find yourself near SF it really is worth the quick trip to visit!
San Francisco
Earlier this month Dale finally had a week off and we headed to California! Our first stop was San Francisco, I loved getting the chance to see family and also see where Dale spent his childhood though first grade. Our second day we finally ventured into the city and began our day on Market Street. After walking to the Ferry Building to grab breakfast we made our way to China Town.
I loved having a whole day to just walk around and explore. After China Town we spent some time shopping around Union Square before heading to lunch with a friend. After we ate we headed to the pier to see the sea lions and had a delicious brownie at Ghirardelli. Before heading to Palo Alto for dinner at Zareen’s we made a quick pit-stop at Twin Peaks for a view of the city. Our first few days were great, San Fran is really one of my favorite cities in the US. Next up, Carmel Valley!
San Francisco Sights
Wow has it been a busy summer! While I haven't had as much time to devote to the blog as I would have liked to, I am happy to dive back in. A few weeks ago I had the chance to visit one of my best friends, Claire, in San Francisco. While she worked I spent my time wandering and sight seeing. A few of my favorite stops included visiting Muir Woods, shopping in the Mission District, purchasing a few books at Chronicle Books, and the many wonderful restaurants I had the chance to try. One of my favorites being breakfast at The Mill. Below are a few pictures I took during the trip, but there were many more wonderful ones as well!
On another note, during my trip I officially accepted a full-time position at Hallmark as a Lettering Artist! I could not be more excited that I will get to continue pursuing lettering surrounded by so many talented artists and designers. Between my internship, wedding planning, and traveling the entire summer seemed to fly by, but I am can't wait to see what this fall will bring!
