Crystal Bridges
Last week Dale and I spent the week in Arkansas leading up to our friends Michael and Joanna’s wedding. One of my favorite parts was finally getting a chance to visit Crystal Bridges! If you are visiting Arkansas I would definitely recommend visiting. Here are a few of my favorite pieces we saw:
Eureka Springs
Some quick lettering inspired by a vintage sign I saw while in Eureka.

September Around The Web
September had lots of highlights including several trips to Fairway Creamery, a very extended work happy hour, a KU Football game, Hallmarket, and a bit of normal life in between. Work this month was also a bit of everything with some exciting projects for Christmas and Halloween plus a DIY that should be shared on Think.Make.Share soon! Here are some of my favorite finds around the web:
These DIY palm leaves are the perfect transition between Summer and Fall
Have you watched the new Netflix documentary about Bill Gates yet?
Very relatable (even though I’m a few years shy of 30)
Been itching for a new macrame project, this might just be the one!
Some beautiful floral T!
I’m always curious about how others find inspiration/new ideas.
If you live (or are visiting) KC you have to check out the new EB & Co. store in Brookside!
Bookmarking this list for when I’m in need of a new book
One of my favorite recipes we tried this month
Ready for the leaves!
Tad Carpenter Creative Mornings KC
Last Friday I had a chance to hear Tad Carpenter of Carpenter Collective speak at Creative Mornings KC! It was my first Creative Mornings talk and especially special because Tad was one of my teachers at KU. Here are a couple notes from his talk:
Remember we do this because we want to, not because we have to.
We GET to do this. Every day you’ve been given a gift to make stuff.
When design is good it’s a team effort.
I’m never going to be the most talented, but I’ll never be outworked.
Play removes limits.
It ain’t about the end result, it’s about the exploration.
Being creative means you have to keep taking risks. The greatest rewards in life come out of risks.
How can your work better the world around us?
