June Around The Web

Summer has officially arrived, and I can't believe June is already coming to a close! This month Dale and I spent time celebrating our friends' birthdays in Lawrence, I visited my cousin Liesel in Richmond, we celebrated Megan and Matt's wedding in Kansas City, and spent a weekend at home in St. Louis. Dale and I visited the Johnson Shut-Ins and had a lovely dinner at Scarlett's Wine Bar for our two year wedding anniversary! While not overly relaxing, this month was filled with time spent with our dearest friends and family and we still have more celebrations to look forward to this summer. This was also a busy month at work filled with special projects and work on cards I can't wait to share when they finally reach stores!

With the warm weather I have also been wanting to try making homemade popsicles, and the web did not disappoint with two (very different) recipes that both look delicious! The first is the Pitaya Popsicle from Glitter Guide, and the second is a frosé popsicle from Camille Styles. Here are some other finds this June:

Now go enjoy those long summer days!

March Around The Web

I have decided that Spring is my favorite season. Every year around this time I feel so refreshed, despite the chaotic nature of this month which was filled with travel, family events, and a busy season at work. I think just being able to get outside more often really improves my mood, and all the sunny weather in New Orleans during our trip was especially nice. I also LOVE all the flowers that begin to peek out at the start of Spring. Coco Kelley's Romantic Floral Tutorial caught my attention this month — I adore the moodiness and how it perfectly captures the emotion of this season. Here are a few other favorites from the web this March:

Happy Spring, and enjoy your weekend!

Hola, Spain!

Over my spring break I am traveling with my sister's choir and several families of choir members throughout Spain! I am extremely grateful that I have another opportunity to travel abroad. Today I arrived in Madrid, and immediately boarded a bus headed to Toledo. While we just arrived, touring began immediately. Once in Toledo we were able to stop and take some panoramic pictures of the city. The view is truly breathtaking and the city houses numerous churches, museums, mosques and synagogues and is a fusion of Christian, Arab, and Jewish traditions from the Middle Ages. Once we had finally arrived in the city we stopped for lunch and were able to enjoy the warm weather. After lunch we walked around and then toured the Toledo Cathedral. The church is beautiful, and even houses the El Greco painting The Disrobing of Christ. Tomorrow we will get a chance to further explore Toledo, many more pictures to come!
