February Around The Web
While this month is not quite over yet, it has been full of exciting and nerve-wracking times/decisions, all building up to BIG things happening next month. I can't wait to go into more details, but let's just say I have packed way too many things into the last few weeks. There were also a lot of happy highlights as well like spending time with our friends in STL, celebrating Galentine's Day with my dear work friends, eating at Lidia's in KC with my family for my birthday, recruiting for Hallmark at KU, having a weekend at home over my actual birthday, and finally I will be heading to Dallas this weekend for a bachelorette party! And between Valentine's Day and Spring on its way the finds around the web did not dissapoint this month:
I loved this quote created by Tessa Forrest. Follow her on Instagram @subliming.jpg and take a peek at her Society6 shop!
I need to remember these floral cookies for next Valentine's Day
A few dreamy Paris pictures
Have you been watching the Olympics?? I think I prefer the Winter Games, and I loved seeing people create some lettering to celebrate.
While the donut peg boards are always great, this heart shaped one takes the cake!
Thought-provoking small changes
Finding an occastion to make this DIY happen... so cute!
Can't go wrong with paper flower inspiration
Beautiful outdoor wedding decor.
And finally two purchases I made this month: I broke my beloved bkr, so I bought a new glass bottle for my insert, and I got the full size of my favorite January Oui Fresh beauty box item!
Ready or not, it's almost March!
September Around The Web
I still feel like early Fall has the ability to put me in the back-to-school mindset, even though nothing about my work routine changes this time of year. This September was no exception, and I am really proud of myself for creating new personal lettering pieces, seeking out an exciting new opportunity at work, and making lots of time for friends, family and fitting in a quick trip to LA. Because this is Dale's last year of school in St. Louis I am trying especially hard to make the most of each weekend surrounded by our friends and the amazing home we have created in the Central West End. Now for my favorites this month:
These stunning floral arrangements by Bespoke Events were by far my most favorite piece of inspiration this month. I discovered them on SF Girl's beautifully redesigned website, and I have to say I would love to attempt adding Pampas Grass Flowers into my own arrangements...
A pair (literally almost any pair) of Loeffler Randall shoes are on my wish list!
Despite the extreme heat we experienced this month, this DIY from Oh Happy Day has me super excited for all the leaves to change.

You've seen it, I've seen it, (and by it I mean the beautiful Bonjour New York mosaic in the new Sézane store in NYC!) Adding it to my New York bucket list.
I just started following Windy Chien on Instagram and also happened across this lovely feature on her work by A Pair & A Spare.
A lovely new card collection featuring many of my talented Hallmark coworkers is out now! It is all based off artist sketchbooks.
Enjoyed browsing Ben Wagner's portfolio, I especially loved this branding for Artist Louise Dean.
I'm all about the idea of metallic gold grout that this Wit & Delight post shared.
And another pasta recipe I know we will make soon!
And there you have it! As I mentioned earlier, this month was definitely one of change and growth. Yet the best moments were still the ones spent going on a best friend trip, celebrating my cousin's wedding, spending a weekend with my Sister-in-Law and her family in St. Louis, and fitting in an Octoberfest celebration plus a few happy hours. This September I'm grateful for all the people in my life who encourage me to work hard, and make the work all worth it. Now I'm officially ready for all the Fall activities this October will bring.
Enjoy your Friday, friends!
January Around The Web
Happy Monday, friends! This month has been tough. After returning from Chile I spent several weeks dealing with health issues and a chaotic time of year at work — alongside the general chaotic nature of current political events. That said, I'm very grateful to be feeling much better now. This month has given me a renewed sense of energy to take care of myself. A January highlight has been seeing many of the Valentine's Day cards I created for Hallmark in stores. Work chaos sometimes leads to wonderful opportunities and I think that this is definitely one of those times. I'm really excited to see how the work I am creating now develops. It's always motivating to see cards come to life on shelf. Now for a few favorites around the web:
I found Wit & Delight's new studio space to be super inspiring. I'm very jealous of those in Minneapolis who will have the opportunity to use it!
This month I saw La La Land (I know, so did everyone), but I loved Jimmy Fallon's Golden Globes Opening Number based off the opening scene in the movie almost as much as the movie itself.
These photos stopped me in my tracks, I'm a big fan of Kaley From Kansas' photography, and her beautiful work this month for 100 Layer Cake.
Keeping this DIY in mind for if/when I have a home studio someday!
Loving Studio DIY's new balloon shop! I have my heart set on the Sparkle Emoji Ballons
New to me Ceramics inspiration
Some images from the Women's March
Creative globe painting ideas from Think.Make.Share.
I am constantly seeing Geronimo Balloons installations on Instagram and I enjoyed learning more about her in this interview.
This Queen of Jet Lags post has me adding Amsterdam to my travel wish list.
While I'm late to the party, this month I tried this Golden Milk recipe.
Here's to a healthier February,
hopefully filled with some winter sunshine!
November Around The Web
As November comes to a close, Christmas is just around the corner! This month I fell in love with The House That Lars Built's new wrapping paper line with Alexis Mattox Design. Wrapping gifts is one of my favorite parts of preparing for Christmas, and this year I just might have to expand past the traditional Christmas papers and include some of her designs! Here are a few other gems I discovered this month:
Another great way to prepare for Christmas, make a wreath! Beautiful inspiration from Think.Make.Share.
Such a unique flower crown for Fall
A gift guide to support organizations that need it the most
I am a big fan of real Christmas trees, but this snow white version is beautiful too.
One of my favorite recipes we tried this month
A guide on "How to Keep Going," one of my favorite series from Design Sponge
The perfect Fall gift!
