My cousin Liesel got married June 1 in Lawrence and I’ve had the best time reliving the weekend through all her photos by the talented Moriah Ruth Photography! It was so special to get to celebrate someone I grew up with (and I was also there the moment she met Sean!). Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Callahan!

May Around The Web
Summer is upon us and May is already coming to a close! This month started out with our California trip and so much has happened since then! This month I’ve been working hard on an internal project on top of some fun lettering assignments, Dale and I have celebrated two weddings (with another this weekend), we spent a weekend at the lake for my Grandma’s birthday, and I’ve been to lots of Holiday Mart meetings and a few Fusion classes. The rest of our summer will be much more laid back and I’m looking forward to time at home and (hopefully) the pool. This month I also loved The Everygirl’s Summer Bucket List. I’m definitely adding the DIY Popsicle to my summer to-do’s!
I am obsessed with following Elizabeth Holmes #SMT and am on-board to test out the hatband. This one is on my wish list!
Speaking of the royals, this month Archie (in case you somehow missed it) was born!
Pretty mini-bundt cakes!
Morocco is high on my travel wish-list
Prosecco punch, perfect for a summer celebration!
A recipe I’m hoping to try!
Bookmarking this post for when I make it back to Santa Barbara
I’m fascinated by hanging florals, I just need to find the perfect occasion for some!
hello, sunshine!
March Around The Web
March has come to a close and I am fully ready to usher in warmer Spring weather, but not before recapping an eventful month! This month began with one last snowstorm the weekend we celebrated my friend Laura’s birthday, I traveled to Nashville to celebrate my cousin Liesel’s bachelorette & spent a few extra days there with my family, spent a siblings weekend in KC with Dale’s family, and had a crazy month at work filled with work on Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas & Easter product! My favorite find this month was Victoria’s recap of her favorite interior paintings. The one below is entitled The Pink Room by Karen Kilimnik:
I found this roundup of wedding trends super interesting. Even though I’m already married I love staying up on the latest wedding decor for work!
Australia has never been at the top of my travel wish list, but Mackenzie’s recap may have added it to my always growing list.
Now that I know my neighborhood celebrates St. Patrick’s Day in a big way these might have to be on the list to make for a parade party next year!
A few recent Nordstorm purchases for the transition to Spring: this Madewell Shirt and Sam Edelman Loafers. Fingers crossed both fit when they arrive!
At the end of April we are headed to California! This guide has been helping us plan our road trip from San Francisco to LA
Last weekend Dale and I had a lovely dinner at the recently re-opened Ragazza! If you are in KC I would definitely recommend — especially the spaghetti and meatballs.
Still obsessed with Jamie’s photographs and her journey to motherhood is spectacular.
Not in the budget, but these earrings are bold and dramatic.
Happy Spring!
January Around The Web
Hello, friends! Normally I can’t believe a month has already gone by when I write these posts but this January felt like two months in one. This month we finished up our mini kitchen renovation, rang in the new year with new KC friends, survived a blizzard and freezing temps, celebrated my friend Alyissa’s birthday and hosted a family birthday part for my grandpa. Work wise was where most of the craziness came in, I started lots of exciting new projects and my friend Meredith and I saw our mural at Ability KC come to life (thanks to lots of Hallmark volunteers)! This month wasn’t a big shopping month as we finished the kitchen, but there was definitely lots of kitchen inspiration on the brain and we made some new recipes, too. Enjoy!
I absolutely love this Parisian kitchen! We have lots of hits of blue in our house, but this has me inspired to add in more lighter shades with the navy.
My friend Alyissa created Think.Make.Share.’s downloadable wallpapers, perfect for February!
Very tempted to also get an acrylic box to display my wedding shoes.
I finally found house numbers I’m obsessed with! Hoping to get these ordered and hung up soon.
A new twist on avocado toast (for me) that I loved this month.
I’m really hoping to take a stained glass workshop sometime this year and I’m saving this for inspiration.
A cute Valentine’s Day gift roundup!
Have you been entering to win the HGTV dream home?
I’ve been thinking about ways to reduce my plastic usage, and it’s exciting to see the end of single-use plastics in the EU!
Welcome, 2019!
2018 Best Nine
2018 is coming to a close! This year was one of the most eventful of my entire life and while these nine moments do tell part of the story this year, there is a lot these quick nine photos don’t share as well. But starting with what is included — lots of highlights! Dale graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, matched at KU Med in Kansas City, we celebrated our three year wedding anniversary, had an amazing time in Europe (and on a few other trips!), and I had a great year of growth and new opportunities at Hallmark. The part that is missing is all the ups and downs that came along with these events.
Change can be exhilarating and exhausting. On top of all these huge life event we bought our first house, dealt with the death of my childhood kitty, Bonnie, and spent countless ordinary days with family and friends that were some of my favorite moments of the year. I’m thankful for 2018 and all the growth, and now I’m also fully ready to ring in this new year!
